[I saw this post over at emptees.com so I thought I’d share here.]
Wow, this woman is clearly very upset...Whilst its pretty awful how trees are being taken down to make way for malls, isn’t this a bit of an overreaction?
Yeah while it may be over-reaction, I can feel their pain. On my way to work each morning I walk through a very small copse of trees. A few months ago a new cable had to be laid in this small strip (20m wide) of green belt. I was horrified when more than half of the trees (well over 20 years old) were felled. What a waste. There still are some trees there, but the forest feeling has disappeared from the place. I felt violated that my green moment each morning was so destroyed. I am sure that these hippies feel similarly.

@ mountain gnome
You were feeling outraged, like you wanted to scream....
But you did not.
