Guidelines for Submission

Sweet Original Designs:

We're into amazing designs on amazing materials. So try not to go with submitting something which really isn't up to scratch. You don't have to put forward designs that are in any way related to the way our tees are made - we want them to have as wide an appeal as possible. In fact, we'll probably prefer stuff that doesn't! So long as it looks good and we can rock out in it, we'll print it. Your work should all be your own and not currently entered for any other design competitions.

Vector/Illustrative Type Art:

Try to keep it simple. Sure, we'd love to be able to provide you with a variety of print methods and speciality inks by which we can print your designs, but for now we're most interested in vector or illustrative art that will come out most vibrantly when using basic screen printing techniques. If you submit overly complex designs that require a large amount of rework prior to printing its most likely that we won't accept them.

Six Colours or Less:

Limit yourself to a maximum of six colours when putting your artwork together, remember that black and white will also count in this number.

We also would like to be as "green" as possible - the less colours you use the less inks we have to use. If we think that your submission could be reworked to use less colours, we may reject your submission. Don't let this put you off submitting however, designs will not be selected based on the printing method we go with.

Keep it Clean

With submissions of concepts and slogans, please refrain from using corse language. With designs, if its very offensive, its likely it won't make it past moderation. Basically, if you're not going to wear it, it's likely no one else is either.

We use the scores we collect as a guide for which submissions to print. Therefore final choices are based upon these final votes and Fair & Bare's appointed judges.

All designs, slogans and concepts © their respective artists. We'll send the boys round if you're naughty.
